Last night we opened a group show here in San Miguel de Allende. I showed my new ceramic work. It is my combination of printmaking and clay. It had a wonderful response. The beauty of this is that the work is always original.

The work is meant to represent Little Luxuries. We are all feeling the damages of the financial crash and this is one reaction: To make really beautiful things that do not cost us sleep or peace of mind yet satisfy the natural desire to collect beautiful things.

Here are my M U E S T R A S … little samples of the prints I have created. These little jewels can hang on the wall. Next week I am starting to learn to use these small pieces to create jewels to hang on the body…

I am in love with this whole idea. It all began about three years ago, perhaps longer… similar to how I began to create my figures…mixing many themes, processes and media into a completely personal direction and form…
