F L O W E R I N G . . .

flowering

Flowering is finally finished and on her way to her new home…she has been a long and delicious process of one year. I now will begin another, something leading on from where she leaves me . . .

Those of you who followed the Fluevog competition will know that I now have Fleuvogs of my own and they now belong to Flowering too . . .

This years classes were all so great, I cannot say enough thank you’s to everyone who participated and trusted me to lead them astray!! We had such a great time. The 2015 calendar will be posted very soon, some new places to visit and a new class called   EXPRESSION   tested out by my favorite guinea pigs . . .  The PORTOLA classes !

    So wonderful to see your little face, and find out what you’re up to.
    The figures are divine, of course. I just made a pumpkin head figure, using your armature technique and clothes pattern. I’ll post it on my blog when its completed. I love love your method!

    Dearest Kate: I am writing from Paris in a lovely apartment overlooking the Seine river. Your work is amazing & I will miss not seeing your ‘flowering’ in San Miguel this winter. I saw some of Agnes Baillon’s sculptures here, she is becoming quite famous. We go to London next week for a few days, then back here & leave for home on November 17th. A wonderful time filled with art. I love watching & hearing about your life & projects. Love & hugs, Mary xxx

    I found you on your sister Sue’s web site. Your work has left me speechless!!! It is magnificent and like nothing I have ever seen before.
    I would love to see it in person.
    I wonder if you ever sleep?

    Sue, who we met on the web, has been very gracious to agree to give a friend of mine and me painting help I hope in the near future. We live in the NC mountains so we are only 4 hours from her. We are very excited to have this opportunity.
