My sweet dearest Kate,
I enjoyed getting your ‘post’ today and hearing about your life and plans. Life has certainly changed your life….and all our lives for now. Certainly no one could have dreamt at all the changes that are happening to everyone. I just had a long chat with Jodi (thank goodness for phone calls and email). I haven’t seen them for about a year now and am missing my visits…. hopefully this summer sometime. I was supposed to join them in Palm Desert but of course the virus stopped all that and they all had to come home early & I cancelled my flights. Fortunately, all the family are well. Paul has invited us to a Mothers Day ‘distancing lunch’ at his home on Sunday, which will be fun.
My focus has been on the garden, so Drew & I have been spending our days getting it all in shape. I’m doing pots of flowers and have a lot going. He hadn’t been sleeping well for weeks, but started taking ‘Ashwagandha’ (2 pills of 400 mg per night) and is sleeping like a baby. I take it too, and maybe you could try it. Good for stress. I can’t believe all you’ve been going through, just simply one thing after another. I was so saddened to think you’ve had to close your gallery. I sure hope things start turning around for the better soon. Your painting has been your saviour. I’m always in awe of your fantastic imagination. I still paint almost daily, so am so grateful to have that in my life.
Oh my dear Kate, I think of you so often and miss you and can’t believe we won’t have our time together in Courtney, when will we see you again?. I know we both miss Ingalora so much and still can’t quite believe that she is gone from us forever.
I hold you close in my heart. You are loved by so many of us. Blessings and love, Mary – and Drew sends special love and thoughts too.
(Remembering happier times)
They’re beautiful Kate. So happy to see such wonderful new work
